Coach Bobby
          Briscoe
          Offensive Coordinator

Coach Briscoe grew up in Tarrant City,
which is located in the Birmingham area. He attended Tarrant City High
School, where he graduated in 1984. Bobby Joe (as his fellow coaches
affectionately call him) earned four varsity letters in football. His
senior year he was voted permanent team captain and earned the Most
Valuable Defensive Lineman Award. He was also named first team All
Birmingham Metro Team as a defensive end.
Bobby started his coaching career in 1985
at Tarrant Junior High School where, he was the offensive line coach.
The next year he became the head coach in the Tarrant Metro League. He
moved to Montgomery prior to the 1987, season but immediately got
involved with coaching. He was an assistant coach and defensive
coordinator in the Montgomery Youth Football League. He served in this
position until 1991, when he became the head coach. He served as head
          coach for 2 years.
In 1995, we were fortunate to add Bobby to
our varsity staff. From 1995 to 1998, he coached the offensive line,
defensive line, and was appointed as special teams coordinator. Bobby
also helped manage the weight training and conditioning.
In 1999, he was named as offensive
coordinator. Bobby earned this position with his enthusiasm and
experience. During his first year CHS ran from the wishbone, taking
advantage of the players talent. This year Bobby is developing a more
wide-open attack. Again, trying to take advantage of the players’
          talent.
